IAI unveils new drone-interception system:
Israel Aerospace Industries unveiled HwkGuard, a compact active-defense system designed to intercept attacking drones and other aerial threats.
The system uses radar detection, electro-optical sensors, AI-based command and control, and interceptor drones. IAI says the interceptor destroys targets kinetically, without a warhead or explosive payload, reducing the risk of blast effects or secondary explosions.
HwkGuard is designed to handle multiple threats at once and protect maneuvering forces, armored vehicles, infrastructure, strategic assets, offshore platforms, and fixed sites.
IAI said the system recently completed a successful series of trials that confirmed its capabilities.
