The UK is reportedly close to providing Saudi Arabia with military support to use against Houthis.

Report: The UK is reportedly close to providing Saudi Arabia with operational and defensive military support against attacks by the Iran-backed Houthis. Britain would also encourage other countries to help Saudi forces push back the group.

Prime Minister Andy Burnham is understood to be leaning towards approving the Saudi request after considering it over recent days.

If agreed, it would be one of his first major military decisions since entering Downing Street.
