Security warning ahead of October 7 anniversary: Israelis abroad urged to stay alert.

Israel's National Security Council is warning of an increased risk of terror attacks against Israelis and Jews abroad ahead of the third anniversary of the October 7 massacre.

The warning also points to possible protests and violent disturbances, with Iran and its proxies, Hamas and global jihad groups viewing the date as significant.

Israelis are being urged not to post travel plans in advance, stay away from protests and large gatherings, and avoid sharing anything online that shows service in the Israeli security forces.

Travel to Level 4 warning destinations including Jordan, Qatar, Somaliland and Egypt, including Sinai, should be avoided. In Level 3 destinations, Israelis are advised to avoid speaking Hebrew in crowded public places.
