Netanyahu warns enemies during Samaria seam-line tour: “Don't test us”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu toured the seam line in Samaria on Tuesday, warning that Israel's enemies may try to test it ahead of the elections and saying the IDF is prepared for every scenario.
Netanyahu received a briefing from IDF, Shin Bet and Border Police commanders on efforts to protect nearby communities, including counterterrorism arrests and weapons confiscations.
Standing near Tulkarm, Netanyahu said the former refugee camp had been a terrorist stronghold before the IDF entered and cleared it. Addressing Supreme Court proceedings over residents returning to the area, he said: “These are not residents; they are terrorists.”
“The force that will control this territory and remain here is the Israel Defense Forces. There will be no Arab army west of the Jordan River,” Netanyahu added.
He said the IDF had presented a powerful plan for any attempt to “turn the guns” against Israel, warning that those responsible would face force on a level they had “never dreamed of.”
