Iranians Charged With Manchester Bomb Plot: Two Iranian men who arrived in Britain on small boats have been charged with preparing acts of terrorism over an alleged plot targeting Manchester's Jewish community.

Rahman Salehi, 34, of Salford, arrived in 2020 and was granted asylum in 2023. Salam Ahmadyan, 36, of Liverpool, arrived in 2023; his asylum claim remains pending.

Prosecutors allege they scouted Heaton Park Synagogue in north Manchester and the Manchester Jewish Museum in Cheetham Hill for a homemade bomb attack, with instructions from a contact believed to be in Iran.

Police emphasized that the foiled attack in Manchester and the incident at the airbase RAF Fairford "are not connected in any way."
