From our Māori sisters in Israel, who were there on 7 October 2023:
“In spite of all they have been through and continue to go through, the chants for their death, the hatred and vitriol. Even after those that hate them attempted to slaughter them all in the most barbaric and heinous way. The resilience, fortitude and love of life of the Jewish people is most extraordinary. I feel incredibly blessed to be here on the whenua (land) in Israel to celebrate life with you my beloved Jewish friends Am Israel chai!”
From the Indigenous Embassy Indigenous of the nations in solidarity with Israel and the Jewish people. Standing against antisemitism and false narratives, locally and internationally, through education and cultural engagement.
