For three years, they couldn't open the door: 🕯️
For three years, the family of Elitzur Hajbi, who was murdered in the October 7 massacre in Moshav Yakhini, could not bring themselves to enter his bedroom.
The rest of the home was cleaned after the massacre, but his room remained locked exactly as it was.

Ahead of the third anniversary of October 7, the family finally found the strength to open the door. Inside, they discovered remains from that terrible morning and contacted ZAKA.
This morning, exactly three years after the massacre, ZAKA volunteers returned to the home and spent several hours completing the work they had begun on October 7, collecting the remains so they could finally be brought to burial.
This time, they were not there alone. Elitzur's son and brother stood beside them.
