Court Official Reprimanded

Court Official Reprimanded: A Buckinghamshire magistrate, Ansar Gulzar, has been reprimanded for serious misconduct over social media posts about Jews and Israel.

Following the Manchester synagogue terror attack, Ansar Gulzar wrote: "My thoughts and prayers are with the victims of Manchester. Every life matters. Question bothering me is why there is always an attack on a Jewish person when Israel wants to divert media attention?"
UK Lawyers For Israel (UKLFI) argued that the post "advanced a conspiratorial narrative by suggesting that violence against Jewish people was connected to Israel seeking to manipulate media coverage."
After a judicial investigation, it found that his posts could create an impression of prejudice and undermine confidence in the judiciary.
UKLFI says "A reprimand is the second-most serious disciplinary sanction available for judicial office-holders, below removal from office."
