Britain To Welcome More Palestinians:
Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood is set to reopen the UK's refugee resettlement scheme, prioritising Afghan women and girls, Palestinians and people with disabilities.
The Home Secretary will tell Labour conference that a capped, controlled route for "the most vulnerable" will "unlock the inherent generosity of this country".

The scheme will initially admit hundreds each year, with plans to expand into the low thousands. Those accepted will receive a faster route to permanent settlement, while further community, university and employer-sponsored routes are also being opened.
The Home Office promises security checks and an annual cap.
